I say this with utmost respect, but Taylor is an absolute tool for saying this privately or publicly.
I can say on good authority that it takes 7 to 10 years to develop game development skills to “good enough” to produce commercial game content. 7-10 years plus the cost of a university education.

Unfortunately I've seen this on my job, people thinking we can use an AI for voice acting instead of actual voice actors. Gen AI has created a mentality between artists of "This doesn't affect my job so it's fine" and it hurts. No darling, it's not. Gen AI needs to rot and die forever
the discourse on what jobs are acceptable to replace with generative AI reveals a lot about what we think of other people's jobs

i get really tender whenever i think about how the longer people play xiv and get self indulgent with their characters and the world. everyone kinda develops their own personal eorzea & beyond… even if they only lightly dabble, it’s effected by their imagination and becomes something unique

Sometimes I wanna make friends in ffxiv to hang out there. Other times I remember I play mostly msq (therefore solo) and I'd be very boring to hang out with (also I'm very slow typing so talking to me would be dull as hell lol)

Started playing TWEWY for the first time and while I'm not used to the combat yet, I love the art style and music (fan of the strong 2000s vibes), the story seems very intriguing and I really like the characters. So fun!
