I really want people to pay attention to this technique. Appear to be standing up to people who hurt/abuse/bully you. Actually do it. Supporters of identify with Trump about THIS ACTION AND BEHAVIOR
I want to add that theidea of standing up to people who hurt you is one of the defining attractions of MAGA supporters to the president. Great tactic! Amplify injury, wrongs, made up instances of bullying (fake lost election, and attack hard. It appeals because most people wish they could do it.

gov newsom is clearly sounding the alarm about what is happening. the horrific guise whereby the Maga has convinced supporters that they must stand up to abuse perpetrated by the Dems/left. They find it just to ignore the facts based on emotion. Therefore no thinking going on. That's why I'm scared.

Wow, this is amazing. Governor Pritzker is actually putting his full self into trying to help the populace know that we are in a really fragile and frightening moment. People in general avoid reality if too threatening. We are here.
Pritzker: Throughout history we've learned that tyranny doesn't arrive with dramatic proclamations. Most times it comes quietly wrapped in the language of law and order, with fingers pointed at someone who doesn't look like you, promising safety while demanding that we sacrifice our neighbors.
