We went over to the nearby produce-focused independent grocery after Alex’s appointment because doctors are stressful and looking at objects helps him relax. We planned to get some guavas for him and maybe a vegetable. We came out with $58 of stuff because we cannot be trusted in grocery stores.

I know I’ve talked before about the ways pop culture tends to demand “authenticity” or assume autobiography from musicians in ways that aren’t necessarily applied to other artists who are more obviously playing a character or creating fiction, but I’m thinking about it again today.

Arguing about what date it's acceptable to start playing Christmas music is a distraction. The actual answer is "religious music should not be being played in secular public spaces unless you're actively making an effort to play music for ALL religious holidays, not just the dominant religion's."

Sometimes you've got to accept that if you don't understand what people are talking about, the conversation isn't for you. Even if someone is kind enough to stop and educate you, you can't reasonably expect to have an opinion worth listening to about a topic you didn't know existed five minutes ago.

I always feel so gently perplexed when someone really loves two of the ships within sxx but not the third one. I know that people can like all sorts of things for all kinds of reasons but on an emotional level I genuinely can’t grasp why anyone WOULDN’T want to close the triangle.

There is a man who believes in the fundamental goodness of others, and a manipulator who loves him. He has abused his beloved’s trust to make him responsible for the death of a dear friend. I am the only one who knows. If I move against him openly I will be destroyed and there will be no vengeance.
Wei Wuxian does not compare himself to both Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen for you to ignore this! Cql doesn’t draw a direct line between the eye transfer and the golden core transfer for you to be that oblivious! Do you never think about Song Lan and Wen Ning? Wangji and Xue Yang? HUAISANG AND A-QING?
