Cauliflower might be one of my favorite things to grow. The ones in the store are always so small and sad looking. This one I can actually make a meal of!

It's the perfect part of garden season where everything is growing in nicely but I'm not in the rush of planting nor the panic of picking and using everything before it goes bad.

I’m at the No Kings protest in downtown Syracuse, NY where thousands of people are lining both sides of a main street. Cars honk in support as they go by.

Do you know why Trump signs five legally meaningless executive orders and holds a press conference about them every day? It’s a performance! That is the point of it.

Performance for cameras and content might be the only real political currency left in the American wasteland. At least he gets it.
Yo literally every progressive has problems with every progressive, I know. But pls give it up a little for Cory Booker, however problematic your niche might find him. Sure it’s performative. PEOPLE IN POWER REALLY NEED TO BE PERFORMATIVE RIGHT NOW. Sorry but it’s true.

Cory Booker, winding down: "We need a greater love in this country a greater fight in this country a greater determination." And re: Strom Thurmond: "I'm not here because of his speech. I'm here despite his speech. The people are more powerful."

It might only be false spring but there are signs of life in the garden and that is giving *me* life.

Attempting to root some fig cuttings. Will this work? I have no idea! But I'm dreaming of future figs!

13. To dismiss these statements as "just joking" is a mistake. Jokes matter. Humor performs a social function. It does social work -- and in this case it's the sort of work that should be condemned. Vigorously.

Absolutely spineless.
Statement from NCAA president Charlie Baker on Donald Trump’s executive order banning transgender athletes from women’s sports.

Says the NCAA will move quickly to align with the EO.

Everyone else may have flipped to pumpkin spice and apple cider but we're still deep in tomato season. 🌱
