I wrapped up writing the first 2026 Faro article.

It’s about identity and expression, not as a traditional branding debate, but as a systems problem.

I just need to prepare the image assets now. Really excited to share!

I’m gonna make “scroll-y-telling” my word to describe sites that hijack scrolling or abuse scrolling effects to the point of nausea. It fits perfectly.
also, “scroll-y-telling”. 🤢

This is nowhere near the quality and tangibility that @nerdy.dev was providing. Quite disappointing, Google.
It's really sad that Chrome laid off one of the world's best CSS developer-designers, and now they have to fake demos of web features. youtu.be/d8J0vs-bEPE?...

AI consumed as much water as the water bottle industry this year.

It also created as much carbon pollution as New York City, according to a new study.

I’ve been a fan of Aeonik for years, and I finally got to use it in a real project (it’s Faro’s body copy typeface).

It’s really nice to see the family expand with Aeonik Soft soon!

“Design systems kill creativity.” This idea refuses to die. Not because it’s true, but because it points to a real tension that many teams never name properly.

Flexibility isn’t a virtue on its own. It only works when it matches the team’s reality.

My latest Faro article explores that tension.

It’s really sad that many talented designers who joined Bluesky have stopped posting here and are now only active on Twitter. Part of me understands why, but I still wish we had all managed to move away from there. I can’t ignore everything that is wrong with it right now.

Organizing Faro as a docsite, in addition to allowing me to arrange content very clearly with focus on design systems, helps me loosen the mental rigidity associated with blogs. So, not only can I update the articles often, but I also feel compelled to do so. I think I made the right decision.

Over the last few years, I’ve been trying to understand why experience work fragments as organizations grow.

Design systems, product, brand, content, engineering, operations… all shape the experience. Treating them as separate is the root of many problems we keep recreating. Here are my thoughts: 🧵
Experience Platform
When systems stop serving teams and start shaping how they create experiences together, quality becomes culture.
