My 7 year old just coordinated an hour long pick up soccer game in a greenhouse with kids and adults that spoke 3 different languages using a discarded pumpkin at a potato festival.

He did like 1.5 seasons of little kid soccer when he was 5 and has otherwise shown little interest in the game.
