Trump and Musk claim to be slashing wasteful and frivolous spending. Apparently they see taking care of our veterans as wasteful, so they would rather abandon them. youtu.be/dNkPuZ0gRdI?...

Americans: We’d like to afford basic necessities, keep vital programs, and not lose our retirement savings.

Trump: Best I can do is a car commercial for the richest man on Earth.

The American taxpayer is about to feel the strain of a crippling recession. But don’t worry. Millionaires and billionaires will be just fine.

I've never been more embarrassed for my country. This is shameful - the leader of the free world reduced to reading ad copy so his buddy's stock goes up. The Shining City on the Hill is nothing more than a bunch of Temu ads.

Nearly 3 million Michiganders rely on Medicaid for their healthcare. Donald Trump wants to rip that coverage away from them to pay for a $4.5 trillion tax cut for billionaires. And every single Michigan Republican in Congress just voted for that plan.
Michigan Republicans back budget plan that puts Medicaid on the chopping block
House Republicans passed a budget plan that could slash nearly $880 billion from health care programs—including one that provides health care for nearly 3 million Michiganders.

This is the question we must all answer for ourselves. But if we cede democracy out of fear of Trump, things will not get better just because we cave. Freedom is worth the hard work it’s going to take.
There are only two things that stand between Trump and being a dictator -- the courts and elections. Trump wants to send a clear message to law firms that he will go after them.

It is ok to be afraid, the question is what do you do. Do you hide and cower in fear or stand tall and say it is wrong?

“You know why Trump arrested Khalil first? Precisely because he’s not the most sympathetic figure. His views are bigoted and extreme. I certainly don’t want to be in the business of defending him.

But that’s the thing about freedom: You have to defend it for everyone, or it applies to no one.”

It's almost as if a gibbering degenerate President with zero understanding of markets or respect for the rule of law who is engaged in moronic tariff wars and a wholesale betrayal of our alliances is bad for the market.

Strange how that happens.
