An LRAD was used on protestors a couple days ago in Minnesota for crowd control. Although they thankfully didn't use the warning tone, which is the most damaging sound LRADs can make, it's important to know that Minnesota State Patrol has them out: www.yahoo.com/news/article...
Fact Check: Minnesota authorities used LRAD sound weapon on anti-ICE protesters. But that's not the full story
In extreme cases, sonic weapons can cause nausea, dizziness, and even permanent damage. In this case, officials used it to declare unlawful assembly.

Solidary with Sudan, ever think about that? Solidarity with Haiti. Solidarity with Congo. Solidarity with Venezuela. Solidarity with other people harmed by America who are harmed worse than us by it.

No child should live in detainment. No child is illegal. A country that jails children must be stopped.

To put it another way: Courageous jurists on the lower courts have held back Trump from inflicting even more damage on civil rights and liberties. This timeline sucks, but the one in which the judiciary doesn't even try to push back is FAR worse. We insult these judges when we dismiss their impact.
I’m done with this shit. This isn’t a game. And if you don’t realize that the work of Judges Xinis and Boasberg and Ellis has been an essential part of forcing this administration to account for its actions, you’re not a serious person.

People are right to be incensed, but there are more names to uplift. ICE killed an immigrant man named Silverio Villegas González in Chicagoland. He had children. Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped in Minneapolis and died in ICE custody on January 14. Their names deserve to be repeated, too.

the old order depended on men being over represented. as we correct this it is necessarily true that men will see their influence and presence wane- until they are no longer over represented. this is good actually.

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

very interesting to me to keep track of who used to yell about 'innocent until proven guilty' when it was trump charged with crimes but who now gleefully repeat claims that immigrants are 'criminal illegals' despite no court process. lotta people with no interest in justice and only in winning

i'm 8-10 years in. so far zero negative effects and zero regret
One thing I've noticed from watching 'gender critical' activists is that consequences are always 10 years away, no matter when you ask them.

There's no study that shows that after 8 to 10 years trans people being to regret transition, of course.

This is based on nothing at all.

New — ChongLy Scott Thao's family has put out a press release disputing DHS's justification for his wrongful ICE detainment, saying "the timeline of incarceration and residence records" for the two men they were supposedly seeking "makes DHS’s claim factually implausible."

New — I wrote about ChongLy Scott Thao, the elderly Hmong American wrongly arrested and forced out of his home by ICE in his underwear during the punishing Minnesota winter, what witnesses saw, and DHS's racist claim that he fit the description of another Asian man they were looking for.

My story:
Behind the disturbing image of ICE snatching a half-naked, elderly Hmong American from his home
DHS has claimed without evidence that they were looking for someone else when they took ChongLy Scott Thao.
