Excellent new album by Gwenno - Utopia - worth a listen. Just played on BBC 6 Music and Cllr Loveday’s contribution to Illuminated R4 yesterday at 9.00 about The Chough also worth a listen. So much good radio.

I feel really humbled by my result this afternoon. A big thank you to all those who voted me back and I’m looking forward to continuing to support all Helston North residents over the next four years. And a big thanks to the staff of Cornwall Council who oversaw a very efficient election event.

Great to see our Town Band out this morning for the first of the two practices. Plenty of supporters lined the streets but the numbers dancing behind the band seemed fewer. A great start to Election Day. Polls close at 10 pm.

Election day will soon be dawning and I have been very grateful for the many messages of support. It has been a quiet campaign and I trust that all of my fellow candidates feel that they have been able to get their message across. The results for all seats in West Cornwall will be after 4 on Friday.

After the recent 20 mph speed limit consultation in Helston it has been agreed to implement a part-time advisory 20mph limit on Trengrouse Way due to the close proximity to St Michael’s School. This was a suggestion that I made and I am pleased that officers were able to advance it. Thank you.

Just finished delivering the bulk of my leaflets - though one or two homes await the joy of receiving my little gift. First calculation is that I’ve been on a 42 mile trek! 99% of the people that I’ve met on my journey have been very cordial and courteous. The 1% are not worth dwelling on.

End of Term at New County Hall as the Conservative Administration waved goodbye to their four years in power. Tears were shed as the memorable moments were revisited. We said goodbye to a number of longstanding members who have decided to retire. A real sense of uncertainty as to what happens next.
