The future is clean energy, but right now the administration is using the government to slow down clean energy at a time when we need all the new clean power supplies we can get. They are trying to make solar & wind basically illegal. It’s a crisis, as I said on #WITHPod: youtu.be/f6536KWBZAc?...

Minneapolis defeated ICE!!

Love is stronger than hate.
Courage is stronger than cowardice.
Community is stronger than a lawless gang.

This represents the beginning of the end of Trump.
In the history books, ICE will be relegated to the same page as the slave catchers and Bull Conner.
This is Minneapolis:

I said a year ago Trump was not choosing political martyrs wisely and not accounting for what tools defendants are accorded.

I want to triple down on that. I think we're about to see revenge of the defendants--starting with Marimar Martinez.

Marimar is a Montessori teacher. And holy hell, a hero!

Cruelty is their MO.
A federal worker at the CFPB found out in December that she had a brain tumor that needed to be removed.

The next month, Russ Vought unilaterally ended her agency's short-term disability plan.

Portugal avoided a populist fascist president tonight. A socialist candidate won the second tour of the election. But the bad guy did win the US and DC consular vote. I don't understand.
People watching the trainwreck of the Trump administration vote a similar value proposal?

The Trump-Vought Schedule f Career / Policy is an outright attack on democracy. Rescheduled civil servants (can be almost anyone) will be fired if they "obstruct the democratic process by intentionally subverting Presidential directives."

Tuberculosis in close quarters and limited to NO medical care, will that be a problem? YES, this will be a problem and probably quickly.

Health is a human right! ICE detention centers are a DANGER to our collective health.

Eighteen cases of COVID-19 were also identified. U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar on Friday visited the 5,000-bed tent facility on the Fort Bliss Army base and said she saw many "chronic issues."

It does seem that the only way to win the midterm for this president is to dispatch ICE to polling places to intimidate votets... and cheat.
RESULT: Democrat Chasity Martinez wins a special election for a legislative seat in Louisiana, 62% to 38%.

This was a district that Trump carried by 13% last year, so a big overperformance by Dems, but the seat was already Dem-held.

We’re looking at another very big Dem overperformance tonight—in a Trump+13 district. Dem Chasity Martinez is up 61-39 with more than half the vote in. Notably, like in TX last weekend, the e-day vote has been even *better* for her than the early vote. voterportal.sos.la.gov/graphical

Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi are already black holes for detention. Now obtaining release will be more difficult than ever. As more and more people are locked up, ICE will increase the pressure on those who are detained to give up.

The goal is an assembly line of coercion with no day in court.

Distilled evil.
Metry and her husband of 4 years go to DHS to get their I-130 in motion. "Good news" a DHS employee told them, the form to start her naturalization was approved.

DHS employee asks the husband to follow him through a secure door. When it locks behind him, ICE detains his wife to deport her.
EXCLUSIVE: Terez Metry was 13 when her family fled to Tennessee from Egypt in 2011. Then, they left her behind. She only recently discovered she had an order of removal from 2011. But she was following the legal path to citizenship. On Monday, at a routine DHS meeting, Metry was detained.

Youngsters who escape a govt dungeon are the only way to track abducted children? This is fine!
The two children who returned to MN today say they saw one of their Valley View schoolmates at a detention center in TX. This is a child whose family was last in contact with the school on January 9. No one has known where they were until now.

That mask is a symbol for a group that is a designated terrorist organization in at least 6 countries in 3 continents. The US has brought terrorism charges to individuals who proudly wear that mask. What is weird is not the gun. What's weird is ICE gave this guy a job in the federal government.
