I still don't think there's going to be an election, but I'm gonna change my estimate from "2028 at the earliest" to "next year at the earliest," especially if the new NDP leader doesn't cause any shakeup in polling.

All these Western shenanigans make me yearn for right-wing infighting in Ontario. I'd love some internal PC drama that damages their reputation for once instead of having to read about the two opposition parties punching themselves in the dick day after day.

One of the reasons that I don't ever want the NDP to fold is because there will never be anything like it in Camadian politics again once it does. It was founded by bold people who imagined a socialist Canada. That boldness is nearly extinct in Canada nowadays.

Just saw a guy on reddit complaining that the NDP wasn't loud enough on "tax the rich," and like, lol. I agree that NDP communication is dogshit, but to the extent that they did communicate, it was literally entirely "tax the greedy evil CEOs and cap their profits."
