I did the math once and over the years I've worked about 6,000 hours of retail & food service during the holidays when Christmas music was playing. That's like listening to it 24 hours a day for 8 months straight. And you still can't convince me to hate it.

Man we had such a nice week of 60 degree temps, I made potato soup last night and we had hot apple cider....but now it's back to the 80s again. Only a brief glimpse of fall 😔

I was confused why she got me up at 5:30 but I forgot about DST and she doesn’t wear a watch.

I was confused why she got me up at 5:30 but I forgot about DST and she doesn’t wear a watch.
We ended up getting whole hoards of children and these were depleted in minutes. We saved a couple things in reserve in case any kids with allergies asked about toys instead, but I'm glad we had a back-up bowl of candy because that got emptied out too. Guess we gotta double it for next year!

We only get about 30 trick-or-treaters and not every house here gives candy so we’re being a little extra. Glow-stick bugs, bubble wands, sticky hands, K-pop demon hunters stickers, ring pops and then we filled the rest of the bag space with candy.

I'm realizing this article is extra gross as it's really trying hard to conflate Machine Learning (better photos from cellphones, phone navigation, search results, etc.) with full Generative AI (overeager autocomplete, the plagiarism gacha, etc.) Like, it's insidious in its framing on many levels.
the nyt posts this stuff like avoiding AI for 48 hours is hard and meanwhile i have literally never once intentionally used an AI program for anything ever
