Beautifully put. I’ve been screaming from the rooftops about this for a long time. Communal sacrifice for a better tomorrow, striving for a more positive country, working for one another and our founding ideals which are - despite our present - still very much worth defending and championing.
Something our forebears had in America and we do not, is faith in providence and I don't mean God or religion generally.
We need to have that again, or a near substitute, because the alternatives have been cynicism, nihilism, and laying down to die.
