Hey y'all.

A South African dev released a blackity black game during BHM and it's currently getting the usual suspects in the reviews.

Imma grab this up myself anyway, but can we all be some chums and help push the racists out of the reviews? 🙂

Ok, VHOLUME's pretty cool even in beta/demo form! So far these guys are on a roll. Babbdi, Straftat, and now this.

Managed to get the gold on the unlockable level even though (imo) I got progressively more sloppy as the run went on

Epic made provably incorrect statements about the game’s content, refused to provide details supporting their claims, and has not shared their claimed AO IARC certificate, which normally includes a link for the developer to appeal. They do not ‘love that studio’, they have effectively ghosted us
Earlier this week, I spoke briefly Epic about Horses, a game that was approved for release on EGS, then blocked after a re-rating

"We love that studio," Epic VP Steve Allison said of Santa Ragione, but maintained that an AO rating was a dealbreaker

Decided to try out Recore this weekend. I feel like I remember this game getting shit upon when it came out, but tbh I'm kind of having a blast with it. Way more of a platformer and 'vania than I expected, mixed with kind of proto-Horizon open world mecahnics. Good stuff.

Just played the demo for @regularstudio.bsky.social 's MOTORSLICE. Man, that was cool AF. Felt great to control, lots of little hidden areas, great music. Just great all around. Only missed one secret drone out of eighteen in my playthrough, might go back and see if I can find it.

Wow, first I've heard of GOG being bought. It's one of the original owners, but still there's always worry.

After playing a lot of Quake recently, I've found something else that modern internet seems to have mostly lost along with forums, IRC, etc.

Then and now are pretty much the same. A Close tie between System Shock 2 and Unreal Tournament.

I'd say back then UT edged out SS2, but today it's the reverse.

Planescape Torment and Silent Hill are right behind them though in my "today" opinion. Didn't play either until after 2000 though.

My favorite now: Thief: The Dark Project. Easily. Still playing fan missions regularly. Runner up - Unreal

My favorite then: The same really but closer to being a tie Thief/Unreal.

Half-Life's a strong third in both.

Finished "Death's End", the last novel of the Three Body Problem series. Struggled through these, especially this last one. Didn't really like any of the characters except maybe Luo Ji which made the 2nd book more enjoyable. But overall wouldn't recommend . Going to skip the last short story novel

Way back in 1992, me and my friends were picking another friend up from the airport. As we were walking this guy from behind us says "Hey, are you guys GWAR?" (They had just played in town and we all had long hair). We said "Sorry, we're not them." Then he introduced himself...

It was Eddie Money.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie
