We need to see this from EVERY democrat in Congress.
I am not just a no, but a firm no.

I will be making the case to all House Democrats to vote no on the appropriations bill, which does not repeal the tripled ICE funding.

We do not have the guardrails in place to ensure that the massive surveillance system being created is safe. That is why @sirenimmigration.bsky.social joined in the lawsuit by @eff.org and @aclu-norcal.bsky.social to require a warrant before that data is accessed.

A significant majority of the $75 billion that Congress gave ICE in the OBBBA will go to private companies that operate most of the machinery of mass deportations; they staff and provide the prisons, they drive the buses, and they own and fly the planes. They are all set to cash in massively.
NEW: Meet the private-equity firm -- and its billionaire immigrant CEO -- making millions off some of ICE's cruelest deportation flights.

After a five-month investigation, my story for @motherjones.com:

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that could determine whether immigration officers can treat people as deportable based on criminal charges alone, before any conviction. The case is Bondi v. Lau, and the stakes for due process are enormous. 🧵

When our government changes hands away from the GOP, Bovino should be investigated and have his retirement and privileges revoked for overseeing the murder o US citizens.

Fire and prosecute Bovino
BREAKING: Border Patrol's notorious lead agent, Greg Bovino, is reportedly withdrawing from Minneapolis following public pressure.

The power of the people works — but our communities need safety. We call on Congress to demand ICE and Border Patrol leave Minneapolis now.

NEW: Another declaration you have to read! Alex Pretti was shot near the apartment of a doctor, who saw the shooting occur and rushed to provide emergency aid as he lay dying on the street.

They describe what they saw: "The victim had at least three bullet holes in his back."

🚨 This is one of my messier and nerdier Substack posts, but TRUST ME: don't cite the Trump administration's deportations numbers as truth until you read this. You need to know why their math doesn't seem to math.

DHS Claims 622,000 Deportations, Here's Why That Number Might Be Meaningless
The Trump administration claims record deportations but something doesn't add up. I analyze ICE and DHS data to test whether the numbers are plausible—and find reasons to be deeply skeptical.

Noem's claim is FALSE. Here is ICE's own data on the detention population among those arrested by ICE:

- 43% no criminal record (up from 6% at the start of the year),
- 29% at least one prior conviction*
- 28% at least one pending charge

*most common are traffic and immigration offenses.
