Sorry but at this point you would have to do some serious mental gymnastics to argue that the Courts mean a whole lot. Especially after the ruling today.

I would call myself a professional pessimist and "extremely depressed about the future" but god, please stop going into people's mentions to tell them that the law/courts no longer matter or post "AND YOU'RE SURPRISED???" at them, especially so if they are actively engaged in making the world better

Most Americans writ large do not understand that we are not a reliable ally anymore. Even should democracy prevail (which I doubt) it will be hollow. The damage is incalculable.
