As depressing as this read is, and it is a dire situation being outlined, it is also incredibly validating.

Had a moment when walking through Unpub at PAXU where a designer *recognized me from last year* and thanked me for my feedback. They said they used several of my suggestions and that the game was close to publication.

For the first time ever, I tapped out and returned to the hotel hours earlier from PAX. Could be I'm not fully over my recent illness, last night's bad sleep, or age... But I. Going to blame ignoring my own advise and doing the Expo hall in one day.

I've been dancing around games that look like this for a couple years (planets with different orbit speeds.) one finally nailed the sweet spot of aesthetics and depth.

Only 3 hours sleep going into PAX today. I've done it before but I wasn't 50 then.
On the other hand, I was able to preempt my alarm. Up early to guide a friend to Will Call by 7 AM.
