I've been dancing around games that look like this for a couple years (planets with different orbit speeds.) one finally nailed the sweet spot of aesthetics and depth.

I really haven't played much with different leads and sizes, so it's a great opportunity to explore my preferences.
The big surprise was pencil sharpeners for the leads. It's subtle, but I think they are two different sizes. One for the 2mm lead and the other for everything else.

The back end of the pencils have a twist piece that displays the hardness of the lead you put in, in case you forgot.
Plenty of refills for the twisting pencils.
The drawing pencil comes with leads from 6B to 4H. And colored leads!
There's plenty of erasers to choose from and refill with too.
