So, these armed felons from January 6, 2021 are “just tourists!”

But an ICU nurse defending a woman who ICE pepper-sprayed and pushed to the ground was a “domestic terrorist “!

Just a quick note about Bovino being moved and the other aesthetic politicoplasty the Trump administration is undertaking:

Don't be fooled. Don't get all Susan Collins-y about it. Trump hasn't learned his lesson. He never will.

I know people love TikTok.

But if you love something, you've got to know when to let it go.

Now that far-right oligarch Larry Ellison owns the platform, that time is now.

Algorithms can't be trusted, especially when controlled by Trump allies.

Tell your friends and family to use Bluesky instead.

It's was Volodymyr Zelenskyy's birthday yesterday! 🎂🥳

You know what the belated best present would be? NATO countries finally ignoring the empty nuclear threats from a former KGB agent and rallying to push Russia out of Ukraine.

Or Congress begins removing Trump from office, at the very least.

The Walk for Peace has the right idea.

Americans must protest in our nation's capital if we want Congress to act now.

Make legislators feel the anger, hope, and energy.

Make sure they know they won't be re-elected tomorrow if they don't stand with the electorate today.

News broadcasts and social media gives the impression that ICE has murdered two everyday heroes: Renée Good, a mom, and Alex Pretti, a VA ICU nurse.

Turns out ICE has killed nine people in 2026 already. Nine senseless murders in 25 days.

Protect your fellow Americans. Abolish ICE. Impeach Trump.

Says the guy who knowingly sent an armed mob to the Capitol to ‘protest’.
Trump on Minneapolis shooting:

“I don’t like any shooting. I don’t like it. But I don’t like it when somebody goes into a protest and he’s got a very powerful, fully loaded gun with two magazines loaded up with bullets also. That doesn’t play good either” www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

“Trump is actively seeking regime change — not in Venezuela, where a dictatorship remains in power despite the apprehension of Nicolás Maduro, but in the United States,” E.J. Dionne writes.

All these fucking fools. The thread names a bunch of candidates, but this particular example is Rauch in The Atlantic saying: “Huh! I guess maybe it *is* fascism. Who knew?”
*Plenty of us knew and said so.

As we protest to remove ICE from our cities and Trump from our White House, don't forget why any of this is happening: our political and legal systems allowed Trump to evade accountability after the Capitol riot. Reform is needed.

A short story that is surprisingly relevant for the US.

When Yook Suk-yeol illegally declared martial law in South Korea, it was reversed by Congress within hours. The vote was bipartisan.

When a motion was filed for impeachment, his party members staged a walkout and the motion failed.

Researching democracy means seeing the world with sobering clarity.

That's why I moved from the US to Canada in 2022. Already, I knew that Trump would win in 2024 and that Trump 2.0 would be a waking nightmare.

The parallels to backsliding elsewhere couldn't be ignored.
