The first thing Virginia Spanberger did after being sworn in as Governor of Virginia was repeal Youngkin’s executive order requiring state and local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE.

This is the kind of leadership Democratic governors nationwide should be emulating.

I try to post positive things on here but this is breaking my heart.
Mubashir and his family came to the United States as refugees from Ethiopia when he was a child, and they all became naturalized citizens in 2019.

Despite being a U.S. citizen, Mubashir was targeted by ICE, assaulted, and detained. Listen to his story:

In the 1950 film, 'Harvey', the giant talking rabbit only James Stewart can see, refers to himself as a Pookah, the Irish name for a sprite. The Pwca Trwyn was a Welsh example. Usually invisible, he would talk to the household from the (unlit) oven, making fun of the kitchen maids.

The Ancient Romans were predominantly dog people, but the recent discovery of graves for pet monkeys on the Egyptian coast suggest that some Romans, including soldiers, likely kept exotic pets in their households.
