One difference between this and 2008 is we now have recalibrated the collective death drive to monetize legacy press basically live-streaming the collapse

I had a dream that Bill Belichick came to my grad school English Department to lodge a complaint against me. “Who’s this guy think he is?” he grumbled. “Richard Nietzsche?” Everyone covered their mouths politely to keep from laughing

Part 96 of historically interesting things

“Death blowing bubbles,” one of the several depictions of death created by Johann Georg Leinberger between 1729 and 1731 for the ceiling of the Holy Grave Chapel in Michaelsberg Abbey in Bamberg, Germany. The bubbles are symbols of the fragility of life

Many left publications sadly aren’t paying attention to this story.

12 years, labor has fought for a union in Chattanooga, after 3 tries they won last year.

Now they are preparing to strike for a first contract

Most innings in a decisive WS Game 7: 12 (1924)

2025 would beat *both* records if it makes it to the 13th.

not enough of you are appreciating what a groundbreaking moment in English rhetoric it is that Sean Duffy said "It begs the question who is funding it"
THIS IS A HISTORIC MOMENT

SEAN DUFFY HAS MANAGED TO ILLUSTRATE THE FALLACY OF BEGGING THE QUESTION

BY MISUSING THE PHRASE "BEGS THE QUESTION"
Sean Duffy: "The No Kings protest, Maria, really frustrating. This is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question who's funding it."
