There is one choice I'm on the fence about, and one thing I want them to lean into, but I'm not making it. (I WILL answer any calls from Mr. Rogen.) But Carpenter was an excellent choice, leaving the rods was an excellent choice, and they should greenlight more immediately.

Hello, I am not an especially notable Muppets fan, and I endorse the new The Muppet Show special. Like finding a jean jacket that's almost like one you lost years ago, and being pleasantly surprised that while isn't the exact same one, it actually fits and feels good.

My actual job description is activist and hereโ€™s what I tell people in despair all the time: do not underestimate how much harm you can prevent by being just a little bit annoying.
This is one reason I keep trying to remind people of the power that we have. That we have *always* had. Not because Iโ€™m in denial, but because I know history. Iโ€™m no sophisticated intellectual, but I do know weโ€™re going to win even though the bad shit is really terrible right now.
Too many people on Bluesky think that relentless expressions of despair are a sign of intellectual sophistication.

Oh yeah, they absolutely do that now. It's not actually very different than a mortgage.

That's the requirement, but I've also certainly seen rents 3x my income (ftr, I would not be able to rent this one)
February 5, 2026 at 4:19 AM
That is actually cheaper than some... but the rest of it is alarmingly common. I saw over 3x income at one point

Everyone's like, oh if you want to move cross-country, just rent, it's cheaper... and I just found an open tab for a place requiring multiple references, a credit score above 725, and minimum 3x income. The rent is $3,125 and does not include utilities ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ’€

Woke up at 4AM with stabbing pain from trapped nerve in my arm/shoulder, bad enough to have severe nausea. Not bad right now, but feeling uh less than upbeat about many things, so maybe bunnies will be useful to someone

Algorithms have failed artists, so once again I am appealing to the wealthy to go back to the practice of patronising artists so you can brag that your sicko is better than your rivalโ€™s sicko

always bears repeating that this is NOT a financial decision. jeff bezos is worth over 250 billion dollars. he can afford to lose many millions and never even notice it. this is, at its core, a political and personal decision by bezos to destroy the post

We're calling it "A Day for Gaza." You can find links to all of the incredible pieces here. Please read! www.thenation.com/article/worl...

If it is a trapped nerve, there is likely nothing to do but wait. But yeah this seems... weird? I have no idea how I could possibly have hurt myself, though. There was no sudden pain situation...
February 3, 2026 at 11:06 PM
Currently debating whether to go to the walk-in clinic about this trapped nerve or whatever, because now the underside of my forearm hurts to the touch like a bruise on top of hurting to rotate my arm :/ Hard to know if there is an actual injury at this point
