Now you too can play a slowed down version of a game from 20 years ago with no actual level design or enemies and all it costs is a complete collapse of the world economy, biosphere, education system, and multiple entire creative industries.
Project Genie is an an experimental research prototype that Google gave @jaypeters.net access to this week, though he may not be using it in exactly the way Google intended.

Here's Jay's version of something like Super Mario 64:

I keep seeing the โ€œreminder donโ€™t use Adobe here are the alternativesโ€ image going around and folks, the problem is not just that Adobe sucks, the problem is theyโ€™re blocking legal access to decades of art files utilized by individuals and entire teams

I love how my phone helpfully changes regular words to brand names (it REALLY thinks I want to talk about the Gaylord brand of hotels), but this time was like, no, you can't mean Adobe!!

There was a press conference about removing all vaccine mandates in FL earlier today (some already revoked). If you can't be bothered to worry about people in FL because you think it's "deserved," at least look at what the government here is doing, because it's a testing ground then a template.

Exactly! It got toxic so fast because it was doing what it was designed to! People started going at the end of the con day to look for themselves, and then would ALSO then pick people who were "worse" and comment mean stuff. It was a scourge from the start, and it absolutely led us here.

Way too long ago when it was new, a lot of cosplay folks joined and it was just... people not at the cons stealing photos from AFan'sView and anonymously saying awful, hateful things about the cosplayers. A friend said, "well, you have to see what they're saying about you!" ...I didn't!

While the most important thing is that he's back home, I'm really glad Liam got his hat and backpack back.
Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

It's been years since I've hauled out to vend there, LA shows were never my best... but while I doubt they even know about this yet, I'd personally want this addressed before I'd associate my brand with theirs, even though I'm small potatoes vs their past corporate sponsors/major exhibitors/ guests.
