As someone who has lived in LA for twenty years, this is the LAPD’s MO. When I found my brother in law dead, they showed up late and were joking among each other (literally laughing). Then when there is a protest, they can’t wait to put on armor and attack the citizenry they “protect and serve”.

It’s like MANDY & EVENT HORIZON had a baby! Though ASH stumbles at times w/ its storytelling, it more than makes up for it w/ striking, psychedelic visuals that would put MANSY to shame and a standout perf from Eiza González. The last 10 minutes are batshit insane—worth the price of admission alone.
