"It was one of those cases where you approve the broad, general principle of an idea but can't help being in a bit of a twitter at the prospect of putting it into practical effect.

I explained this to Jeeves, and he said much the same thing had bothered Hamlet.”

It's time to renationalise water.

Customer complaints over water bills up by 50% in England & Wales.

Don't be fooled by social tariffs, cost passed to other customers.

Billions extracted in dividends, exec pay; fines announced, not paid; customers fleeced. No one protects people.

Privatisation is a scam.

This week we shared our Private Finance briefing with MP at the House of Commons.

It doesn't matter what form of private finance is applied in the NHS. The result is the same - a bonanza for the private sector, at the expense of patient care.

The new White Paper on Water is old wine in new bottles. We already have all the laws in place to hold water companies accountable for breaking the terms of their licences.

The government should be bolder. Fine England's water companies into oblivion, and take them into public ownership.

Trump during his Davos speech:

“We probably won’t get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be, frankly, unstoppable, but I won’t do that."

This is a rapist talking, telling his victim that he won't use force if they behave and submit to him.

She received a call from her client that ICE was lying about having a warrant for their arrest. She drove to the scene and chased ICE away.

When MAGA cult member starts going on about the US "needing" Greenland for "national security," remember to point out that Greenland has been a NATO member just as long as the USA has, and thus enjoys the full protection of all 31 NATO members, making an attack by Russia or China unthinkable.

“Ministers have failed to grasp the underlying issue which is corporate greed. The only people who will be paying for this are customers and billpayers.” - Fergal Sharkey
This is worse than a joke.

You can’t effectively regulate a profit-first system. We’re throwing good money after bad and not even tackling the root problem.

Any solution that doesn’t involve public ownership is a waste of the public’s time and money.

We already have complete access to Greenland, including unfettered freedom of navigation into the Arctic.

We have a military base. We have early warning radar systems in place that will integrate with the “dome.”

And we have allies to help defend it. We don’t need Greenland.

"Drained by PFI and privatisation profits".

The Government channels taxpayers' money to its donors and claims it's spending record amounts on the NHS.

Win-win for them.

Lose-lose for us.
Tory legacy

In 2025, 554,018 people were left waiting on NHS England hospital A&E trolleys for more than 12 hours - 48,626 in 2021.

The waiting times are the worst since figures began.

NHS suffers from lack of investment, drained by PFI and privatization profits.

Denmark/Greenland will let us do anything we want militarily to protect our interests in Greenland with current and abandoned US military bases. We can move any assets we want there. So all the arguments about security are BS. Trump wants to OWN Greenland, not protect it.

The argument that we need Greenland for national security rings hollow.

According to Danish officials & defense histories, dozens of U.S. military installations & bases in Greenland are closed, leaving only 1 active base.

If it is so strategic to our national defense, why do we only have 1 base ?

The state we are in.

16,600 people a year – 320 a week – in England die as a direct result of delays in accessing A&E care or a bed on a ward.

Tory legacy but handing NHS services to corporations and private equity doesn't help. Money buys less.

Fiscal rules, appeasing the rich costs lives.
