PFI is a disaster.

Billions still flow to private profit while NHS hospitals fall apart.

We dug into how this happened — and why it should not happen again.👉 everydoctor.org.uk/talking-poin...

Why is there no Labour Friends of Germany? Labour Friends of Pakistan? Labour Friends of France? Labour Friends of Wales even?

Something isn't quite right.

Reeves considers cut to green levies to reduce cost of energy bills.

Cut bills by cutting profiteering, change Ofgem's marginal pricing method, improve housing, nationalise energy.

Fund green levies through general taxation. Take equity stake for govt subsidies. There must be no free cash.

In yesterday's pre-budget speech Rachel Reeves said she was focused on "protecting the NHS".

Private funding has been disaster for the NHS. Trusts are paying back up to 27* over their original PFI deals.

The best way to protect it is to say NO to a new round of private finance arrangements.

"Sometimes we must realize that the best way to reach a UBI is to present it as a refundable tax credit rather than as a paycheck. As simply reducing the taxation of the rich and poor alike with a cash transfer to those whose tax liability is less than the credit."

#Inequality in the UK is at record levels and *it is accelerating* - that is the *only* thing Rachel Reeves' next budget should be addressing.

There are no tough decisions to make - they are all clear & obvious.

If they are not taken, it is political cowardice and/or corruption, nothing else.

CBA reading her 'apology'. I bet it's not 'I'm sorry I said it. It was wrong' I bet it's 'I'm sorry if what I said offended anyone'.
So not 'I'm sorry I punched you on the nose. It was wrong' but 'I'm sorry if it hurt you when I punched you on the nose.'
A disturbing and unsettling outburst from Reform’s newest MP has left both her and the party with some difficult questions to answer.

Prince Andrew gives up his royal title. Brilliant, now if he could also give up the privilege, the taxpayer-funded security, and finally accept that long-overdue invitation from the FBI for a little ‘chat’ in the U.S.

Adelita Grijalva won her election fair and square.

Now House Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to swear her in because she would be the final signature to release the Epstein files.

Mr. Speaker, respect democracy. Obey the law. Swear Representative Grijalva in immediately.
