I'm over on the Atlantic Coast of Canada working as the Tech Lead at Max Inferno Games. I made the jump to full-time gamedev after a decade of regular IT programming and am having an absolute ball working with these great folk on such a wonderful game!

So Ubisoft's Halifax studio JUST unionized, the first in North America to successfully do so, and then Ubisoft just happens to decide days later that they need to shut down the Halifax studio. Ghoulish behaviour.

Awful news.
Ubisoft has announced the closure of its Halifax studio, which had been working on mobile titles for Rainbow Six and Assassin's Creed.
