I adore and embrace storytelling in many forms. I draw when words are not enough, through #illustration, #animation, and #gamedesign.

💵 MONEY for GAME? In 2026??? 💵

There have been more and more successful-game-devs-turned-game-funders popping up, so here's a lil' thread of some of the more recent ones I've seen.

Hopefully this helps you get some $$$! 🔽

I took this snap shot in 2018, in the middle of my last game's 4 years development. It was too late to give up yet I can't see the finishing line. I was scared and anxious.

Now I'm at the same middle point of another game, I'm still scared, but this time I believe I can do it. Never give up.

Fun game: can you spot the difference between these 2 “identical” maps?

The events Led road sign maps buildings in different numbers than the map gave to attendees. Me and my friend walked round like crazy trying to meet up at building No.12 with no luck till we realised the map has errors. 😂

Finished the recent pitch workshop. I've now done 50+ versions of pitch decks ranging from ones aimed at publishers, to investors, to my neighbour's cat... Today I went offline and drew game art all day. I'm happy again. 💃

Switching my weekend game from Silk Song to Animal Crossing, where nobody is trying to kill me, everyone is so kind and I don’t have to feel like a completely looser after each failure of boss fight.🥹

Thank you, I actually own both of these game ( didn't finish) and for some reason they didn't cross my mind.

I guess you're right.
The shared feeling I'm looking for is : a story that's about community, family or friendship. Despite the cute art style, under the surface of the main storyline, it has a little mystical, dark element to it. Last but not least, it has a bittersweet ending.

Yes, it's my list already! Thank u!

Thanks! Although not the same genre but I guess story wise does shares the similar feel, both great games!

You know what heals a broken heart of rejection? Make something that I'm proud of. Back to work, make my game even better.

But first I need to open my window and scream for a min.

Well, another rejection for a funding application.
According to the application requirement, my game fits it perfectly. I really wish to get some feedback thought.

My conversation with my colleague:

Me: Is 1'30min trailer music short enough?
She: I can cut it down to 1min if you like.
Me: Thanks. Gosh, what's going to be in 50 years...no one watch trailer longer than 10 sec?
She: Don't worry. We'll be dead by then.
