Racist, xenophobic lady shouting the most hateful "Jesus loves you" shit I've ever heard on the train platform.

Code Yikes!

The latest CO2 data just came in from Mauna Loa and the 3-year rate of CO2 growth just hit a new record high, now growing at a rate of 7.97 ppm per 3 years.

(That dip in the mid-1990's is Mt. Pinatubo. Google is your friend.)

I ran into this in another list. The title and the abstract of this paper is quite provocative.

These were inspiring to read through. Now this, THIS is my new years resolution - building and contributing towards community.
Reply or quote with something good you did for your friends or community this year! 😊👇
I've been saying this to @distributeaid.org's major donors in our end of year emails, but we all really aught to be highlighting the good that we do.

It's not a brag, it's an example to others and normalizes helping your community. 😊

I’m finally taking some “real” vacation, and already feeling reenergised, excitement and ideas for the new year after just one week of “not working”

Making it political: everyone needs a minimum of, say, 5 weeks paid vacation, please and thank you.

Once again thinking about the old man who said "Don't worry, one day you'll be able to buy a car", when my friend and I were out for a pleasure bike ride.

Sir, I actively choose to not buy a car. I have never owned one, and through hiring and borrowing them when necessary, aim to continue that way.
