Baltimore weirdo.
Help a girl out.
Does anyone know a good historical accounting of the house music scene in the US in the 90s and beyond? All the books and documentaries I’ve encountered focus on its origins in the 80s and don’t really go in depth beyond that

Minting a new Hitchcock fan makes me happy
Today, thanks to @highter.bsky.social, I learned that The Soft Boys' Album 'Underwater Moonlight' is fucking awesome. It's jangly, it's psychedelic, it's punky, and it's catchy as heeeeeelllllll.

Checking out the new remaster of the Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians album Globe of Frogs and it finally sounds like it should. The original album is thin and flat in comparison. youtube.com/playlist?lis...

My neighbors back in the day were the Butlers. My sister at 1 1/2 couldn’t say Mr. Butler so called him But But. All the kids in the neighborhood called him But But and he loved it.

this whole thread. such a basic and reasonable premise, and yet it's not remotely what we have
If our authorities exist for the protection of the people, then the laws should exist for the protection of the people, not the protection of authorities. If the law exists for the protection of authorities, then the authorities do not exist for the protection of the people.

When men think about the Roman empire they rarely turn their thoughts to the fact there was a yearly religious festival where they paraded crucified dogs around.

Country Hall of Fame is amazing. Centennial Park/ the Parthenon is neat. Unfortunately didn’t do much kid-friendly stuff in my years there.

I wish I remember where my parents took me to a Judy Collins show in ‘79. No earthly clue.

Whenever I get too stressed I put on the Raymond Scott Quintette and bop around the room for a while. Haven't been able to do it much lately with my bum knee but it's healed enough for awkward Muppet-like dance steps. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9OU...
