Baltimore weirdo.

I need to rediscover joy, to reconnect to myself. This’ll be a running thread of old and new music that touches some part of me. Like a weird journal.
Spent the last few hours listening to John Waters read a bunch of his scripts. Pure joy.

Most woke opinion: since incorporated bodies are people & you’re eligible to run for president of the USA if you were born here OR if you were here when the constitution was ratified, Canada can & should run for president of the USA.

Native & First Nations tribal gov’ts can too, also Lake Michigan
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

It was nice of Foundation to once again prove speeder bikes are a cool idea that don’t work on film.

I’ve always thought a double space after the end of a sentence looks better. Easier to read, too.

I’m not a big reboot guy but if they made a version of The Mask that was as fucked up as the original comics I’d be into it.

Holy crap the mono version is incredible. Good mono is special.
The new box set version of Jimi Hendrix's Axis: Bold As Love might have the worst cover art of any super deluxe reissue EVER. That said, the mono version of the album, on Disc 2, is fantastic.

Happy 80th to Neil Young. I play “Walk On” like a mantra, spinning it every few months for the last 35-odd years. Gotta let things go and be okay with it, even the bullshit. youtu.be/Cby46XsFm7Y?...

I bet there’s been a dozen times in the past 30+ years that this has popped in my head and I’ve yelled, “Valerie loves me!” with gusto. Done it in public a few of those times and once got a nod and a thumbs up. youtu.be/YcRtlj8KXT4?...

This was quite enjoyable.
I’m deeply hooked on this book.
I started reading Henry Threadgill's autobiography last night. Hooked me immediately and I made it up to his discharge from the army. Can't wait to continue tonight.

Love a sci fi war comic that includes grain graphs

Mine was blocking rude comments. I assume that’s why I saw no engagment
If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Look, like many other things that this Temu-gold-leaf-ass administration has done, this is perfect. This is perfection itself. No notes. I could not make it more absurd if I tried.

Ney Matogrosso is a beloved figure in Brazilian music. He began his career in early '70s glam rock, with outrageous stage shows, makeup and costumes. That sense of playful fabulousness never went away.

Another great session from Tiny Desk Brasil.
