1/ The cure for TB—roughly half a year on antibiotics—has existed since the 1950s. It works for most patients. Yet, in the decades since, more than 100 million people have died of TB because the drugs are not widely available in many parts of the world.

The Netanyahu government has killed 50,000 people in Gaza & wounded 112,000.

Two weeks ago, they broke the ceasefire and have since killed 322 children & wounded 600.

The US must end its complicity.

Tomorrow, I will force votes to block $8.8 billion in arm sales to Netanyahu.

Hiding from the news for a few hours and making crochet earrings. Please, let it be a quiet few hours after a week of insanity.

In 1933, center right politicians not too different from Schumer decided to voluntarily give Hitler power of Chancellor, and later complete dictatorial power of the country.

They believed that giving Hitler unlimited power would weaken his political standing, somehow.

They never held power again.
Schumer tells me Republicans might try to jam Democrats again in September, but thinks Trump will be less popular then and Republican appropriators might be more willing to stand up to him. He said they refused to do so now.

Boudica joined us today for her first ever rally and I dare say this girl is a protest pro! She is ready with a sign and a howl, as well as lots of kisses to fellow protestors to keep spirits up. So proud of her today!

A tale of two presidential coverages by WaPo. A stark example of how the legacy media helped push us into this disaster. On the top, Trump today with 151K jobs. On the bottom, Biden in 2021 with 194k jobs.

Officially canceled every one of my subscriptions through Amazon as part of my blackout today. I will either spend a bit more or go without. Bezos wants to join the far right, I'll keep my money, thankyouverymuch. That group is actively trying to harm me and mine. I'm done. You should be too.

Absolutely beautiful.

I lived in Alaska most of my life - 27 years of it. It is absolutely Denali. It never should have been named otherwise.
It's Denali.

Prepping earrings on cards tonight and went to punch the hole in the top so they can be displayed. Brand new hole punch and I broke them on the second use. Bent completely out of usable shape. Ooof.

Support local libraries. We’re witnessing censorship on a massive scale. Digital scrubbing is modern day equivalent of book burning

Our ability to get accurate info about public health, science, history, LGBTQ & marginalized groups is under threat

Libraries will be critical part of the resistance

And this is why Scalzi is a national treasure.
Just a punch on the head, Ted
A poke in the eye, Sy
Make fists to deploy, Roy
And set those mitts free

Just a smack in the teeth, Keith
Will knock em right off their damn feet
Then get a kick in the balls, Paul
And you'll watch them all fall

Listened to T Kingfisher's Paladin's Grace while making hats today. Immediately had to jump into the sequel. Definitely a fun romp. Been on a small Kingfisher kick lately.... Apparently that's not changing yet.
