"[...] and Elon Musk may have taken the reins over the key infrastructure in the federal government, [...] simply because index funds exist and the 2020 jump in Tesla’s stock price led to Tesla’s inclusion in indices like the S&P 500. Try not to think about it too much."

Some stats from 100 days in on congestion pricing:
- Complaints about car-honking are down 70%
- The Holland Tunnel has 65% fewer delays at rush hour; time to get thru it is down 48%
- 6 million fewer cars
- Half as many traffic-related injuries
- 1.5 million more visitors to BIDs year over year
How Well Is Congestion Pricing Doing? Very.
One hundred days in, honking is down; bus speeds are up.

it causes me such pain to see snooty liberals respond to a story about a horrific, incurable, fatal occupational disease like black lung with “but how did they vote????” as if that fucking matters

"sir why is it useful to define primes this way or the other?"

"well. you can kind of just do whatever you want. here's a number system where primes don't exist btw"

Biggest mistakes I'm seeing in early reporting (thread):

1. Tariffmageddon isn't over: Lotsa tariffs to account for, but the average tariff rate is only down around one quarter. So most of the pain of Liberation Day is still with us.

someone pointed this out earlier, but it's very funny (read:bad) that the switch 2 preorders are slated for April 2nd and they won't announce a price because they're waiting to figure out what the tariffs on Vietnam and Japan are going to look like
