Man, it's so much easier to see progress in art. I see art from a couple years back next to my new stuff and can pinpoint all of the improvements I've made.
With writing, I feel like I'm pretty consistent and then I have to read something I wrote 18 months ago and shrivel up from cringing so much.

I have a rough first draft, but is it a little selfish of me to say I'm going to withhold the next FNWTW chapter until it hits 2,000 kudos (currently 12 away) so I can take a tiny break after the bang, polish it a little and then add a sappy note at the beginning?
