I am fond of night and darkness, but of course I live in an era when artificial light is almost too abundant. I don't like them used as metaphors for negative things since that can have racial overtones. And the desert taught me to love shade and night as reprieve from the glaring light and heat.

Being really into Lego has helped my fam be excellent at ikea builds. Also: got to explain industrial design to the kid in an authentic way, so, bonus.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.
Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.
