WOW. @haleaziz.bsky.social with a new scoop: ICE now gets a running list of every person who is going to be taking a domestic flight inside the United States from the TSA and runs it through their database looking for targets. This explains the Babson College student's arrest.

I want to believe this is just a tidal pool...But some other part of me believes we’re past that point. That this report is worthless, that no one will ever read it, that these will be the last words I ever write. That somewhere far remote someone or something else is seeing me. - SR book

That begs the question: why has everyone lost their damn minds?

And the answer I think is Phone x COVID x Neoliberalism = everyone is insane.

Eight years ago I made a joke: I want to see this glacier before it’s gone. Well…

I had a hard time to locate certain edges / rocks etc. to match the photos until I realized that I can’t find those familiar spots because …they’re already gone.

But for real, fascinating science on how we might be seeing the very early stages of domestication in action in wild animals. 🧪

Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

BUY SOMETHING!

Is it truly social media anymore? Or is it more like selling media? It invades everything.

It's obvious to wealthiest and most powerful people on the planet don't care for nature, climate, the earth or the universe.

So I painted the invasive nature of ads in nature.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
