Very excited to have submitted my first author from my postdoc.

We demonstrate that the 9-1-1 complex safeguards BRCA2-deficient cells from lethal ssDNA gap accumulation by suppressing PRIMPOL-dependent gap formation, restraining EXO1 degradation and promoting POLζ-mediated filling.

The behaviour may range from his public dissemination of unfounded conspiracy theories to his attacks on the science

If all their previous actions don't destroy scientific research in the U.S., this one, which seeks to modify or terminate grants and contracts, including those to educational institutions, will certainly do so.

It's so sad that those who have benefited from the system now seek to destroy it.

Already bruised by the Trump administration’s first round of firings of federal workers, employees at NIH faced more bad news. NIH’s 27 institute directors were told this week that the agency must cut staffing back to 2019 levels, or at least 10% below its 2024 tally. scim.ag/3EP8gjy

Scientists are now organizing events, called Stand Up for Science, on 7 March in Washington, D.C., and state capitals.
