Oh, you are SO full of shit.

Where were you when Peters played a starring role in a co-ordinated campaign against Benjamin Doyle?

Where were you when Seymour joked about blowing up government departments, or mounted another online attack at yet another critic? #nzpol

I'd like to think what is happening in the world at present is fascism's last gasp, so stumbling across this video is just what I needed to hear.

We need to tax wealth not work.

Why? Because usually no matter how hard you work, the compound interest on huge wealth grows much faster than your wages + the rich use this passive income to buy all the assets.

Someone made a game to show this:

Someone really needs to rebrand 'taxes'. I'm thinking it's like a shared lunch. Generally everyone brings something; some have the $ to bring sushi/pizza, others bring crackers or carrot sticks, some forget. We all get to enjoy and share, and there are always leftovers to take home to family...

The New Age of Sexism by Laura Bates is an absolute must read. Much of what's in there won't be a surprise to many of you reading this but hopefully it can instil in others the moral imperative to do something before it's too late. It's a sickening read.

For me it's the asymmetry that bothers me, right? You make the books balance by cutting expenditure or raising revenue. 80% of our political sphere & 90% of our media somehow treat the second half of that equation as insane or irrational, while accepting the first half as the Only True Way.

Northlandrs been paying tolls since 2009 (Johnstone's Tunnels) now they want to add more tolls to travel Whg-Akd. I don't recall any tolls for the Hamilton Expressway or Transmission Gully. Yet they want to 'tax' again some of the poorest people in the country. Fuming!

Why isn’t Winston Peters screaming from the rooftops about this. Cis het men are and always have been a bigger problem for women in NZ than the usual target of his culture war nonsense. Why isn’t there a comment from any male MP in the coalition on this? They comment on everything else. #nzpol
A new research paper has found misogyny and racism are pervasive in the harassment of female politicians, their staff and their families.
It comes as the Justice Minister is getting advice on law changes to better protect publicly elected officials, particularly at their homes. #RapeCulture

This story from Gill Higgins is really good. Evidence-based, shows a variety of NZ cities, and shines a light on Simeon Brown’s ridiculous position.

Every time he was told how the data shows that he’s wrong, he only had “my time is valuable and I like to drive”. He can’t justify govts position.

Doing the fortnightly grocery shop and see that prices have gone up again. Pretty much all the staples I usually buy are now 50c-$1.50 more than last time. Looked at The Warehouse and all the major supermarkets, and it's safe to say there is no competition. WTF NZ!

So my 18yr old has been searching for jobs. Reply today said that 408 people applied for a retail assistant gig. Another said 250 applied for front desk at the local aquatic centre, and my friend's son was told he wasn't 'interesting enough' for Spotlight. What an absolute shit state we are in AoNZ!
