Big rocket going up

This mission, ESCAPADE, will use satellites in the orbit of Mars to study how particles move in and out of the Martian atmosphere. It will also give insights into how Mars’s atmosphere disappeared overtime, making the planet inhospitable
Blue Origin is set to launch its heavy-lift New Glenn rocket from Florida once again, this time with a payload to be launched to Mars.
The second mission, named “NG-2” by Blue Origin, is scheduled to launch on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2:45 PM EST (19:45 UTC) from LC-36 at Cape Canaveral.

What is happening at Goddard is absolutely devastating. We are losing history. We are losing an incredible amount of human talent, skill, and knowledge. Rebuilding it will be impossible same for same. Industry can not absorb the people or the equipment. This is undoing space science in the US.
Goddard spacecraft engineer: "I think it just kind of speaks to the atmosphere of the agency and the nation, where people are like, 'Well, laws don't matter for the people at the top anymore.'"
NASA is sinking its flagship science center during the government shutdown — and may be breaking the law in the process, critics say
"There is just a general acknowledgement that a lot of what is happening is illegal…"

As in love with my e-bike that I am, there’s still areas of the city that would be about a 1.5 hour ride from me, and living 35 min walk from the bus stop made it not a very realistic regular option. My heavy e-bike is also not very easily loaded onto the bus bike rack (I think it’s over the limit)

JPL is NASA’s robotics headquarters and where some of the most impressive technology humans have ever created originated. Some good people I worked with have already been forced out, and this is now the third or fourth round of layoffs just this year.
