Norsk media er ganske gode på å melde om de direkte, eksplisitte truslene fra Trump, men veldig dårlig på å rapportere om den store, indirekte: galskapen. Med mindre man er online og sjøl leser en del av de truth social-postene som deles rundt forstår man ikke hvor hinsides virkeligheten hans er.

It's also wild that this hasn't ended Trump's presidency immediately. We used to be a serious country, where things mattered. Or maybe we never were, & it's just the mask being fully ripped off. Hard to tell, frankly. Observationally equivalent.

@profsaunders.bsky.social does a great job on how badly this Venezuela intervention will go and why we got here. one addition is her take on the weakening of US national security capabilties omits the gutting of the US military of its sharpest people. Loyalty or capability, can't have both.
