Can confirm the second option is not as good as Estradot. Migraine-a-rama for me.

My brain goes to a weird space with Official Things (thanks, Dad) like insurance bills ("Must pay annually to avoid extra fees") and that you have to stick with that cos "You've made your bed, you lie in it".
Recently reminded you can change the sheets on that bed to make it work better for _you_.

DID SOMEONE BRING UP A FOLK SONG anyway yes hi welcome to one of my special interests. The lyrics as collected by Child appear to be originally linked to a song called "The Elfin Knight" in which a fuckboi of an elf says he's gonna kidnap a woman unless she performs some impossible tasks. BUT!
Wait so is "Scarborough Fair" actually a song about telling some woman you used to date to do a bunch of unpaid domestic and agricultural labor for you in order to "prove" that she is good enough for you to date again???

Can confirm Slow Horses still delivers in Series 3. Especially with KST delivering lines like: "Keep walking until you get to the sea, and when you get there, keep walking with your mouth open."

I missed this e-tangata piece at the time, but it’s a good reminder about entrenched beliefs or narratives.
Maybe have a read: “Why is it that these myths persist, even today? I suspect we Pākehā feel more comfortable about our own invasion of this land if we believe that tangata whenua can in turn be blamed for driving Moriori off these islands.” e-tangata.co.nz/history/lies...

I really mean this very seriously: we should accelerate the Reo'ification of our New Zealand English dialect. Which is what _we_ make it by what _we_ say. You don't need to be fluent to say or understand aroha or mahi or whanau or kia kaha. They're _normal_ already. Now let's go larger, nē?

Listening to RNZ playing a podcast/piece to air that I also heard around the same time on Sunday is weird - did the last two days even happen? Did I enter an alternate universe temporarily?

I have a conspiracy theory: Wellington Zoo never actually acquired those snow leopards. They just created a plausible habitat and put up signs that say they're really good at hiding.
