Which reminds me, I saw this today. I would venture to say that if you do not yet consider yourself qualified to set up Linux you may want to evaluate whether you should be using Linux (which, no hate, I also have no idea how to use Linux for most things beyond embedded schlock)

I think mostly everyone realizes this is bad, I'm not sure people realize how MASSIVELY bad this is unless they've had the displeasure of working with Qualcomm. User hostile doesn't even come close to describing how utterly repellent trying to get info on their parts is (let alone try to USE them)

Trucc lessons: cover is black and gets hot on sunny day. Wear gloves to remove.

It took two more attempts and also some setscrews and heat sets but as long as it makes it the couple weeks until the plumber comes back to 'actually' fix it that's good enough for me

PCB not forthcoming on where the short is? Tried ohming out with an ultra-low resistance meter? Thermal camera not really showing any obvious hot spots? Try 67A to blow the mf off the board! :)

Rant time: I tried using OnShape this week to design an enclosure for a hobby CNC project. I used my personal email to set up the account, and a contracting email as a recovery email. An ACTUAL person at OnShape sent me the message below, reminding me that the free plan is not for commercial use

CNC enclosure project scope creep has forced me to admit defeat and actually CAD the thing. Trying OnShape to see if it's any better with assemblies than FreeCAD (so far not promising but too far in now)
