As has been pointed out, the real issue is one wire being able to do that, but yeah always pull test, this is nuts

Mint is on my list to try at some point but Ubuntu always has "just worked" for me (granted I don't game, all my apps are CAD programs like KiCAD, FreeCAD, etc)

Looking for customers and estimating projects is MOST of it for some folks, so be prepared for that, but once you have the work secured then you can just run on a project plan/give updates/keep to deliverable schedules and most customers will be super happy. DM me if you want advice

Depends what you're doing/how you plan to start. A previous job turned into a solid consulting opportunity so I set up an LLC, but once the work dried up I didn't look elsewhere for more, probably could if I wanted to though. If you can justify the setup/insurance costs it may be worthwhile

Yeah what I ran into more of is "I need specific (but not super popular) program installed, how the heck do I do that?" Getting dual boot working itself wasn't too bad

Also this is in no way meant to gatekeep, please go learn and install Linux and I will provide what help I can without the normal condescension of these folks but I am also a noob and a weakling (trying to install Fender Studio on a NUC with linux kicked my ass)
