STRANGE CASES is gonna be published by Andrews McMeel 🖤✨

Combining my love for legal dramas with my vision of reimagining gothic horror in a Filipino context, my debut GN is a tale of family inheritance, justice and retribution, colonial theft, and beastly secrets!

My author email account has been hit by Google's age verification bullcrap. I am in my thirties. I do not have a credit card, verifying using email didn't work, and it either wants my ID or for me to feed my face to AI. I really do not want to comply.

This month's reading. It was bizarre how one book I read directly referenced the previous one, talk about synchronicity!

BLOG TOUR REVIEW: The Missing Wife by Donna Gowland
Mary Shelley: Philosopher. Writer. Sleuth? In 1814, 16 year old Mary Godwin escapes London to be with the love of her life, Percy Bysshe Shelley, with her step sister Jane tagging along for the adventure. They head to France, following in the footsteps of Mary’s mother, Mary Wollstonecraft, but it doesn’t take long for the reality to set in, in this beautifully written blend of fact and fiction.

We spent years making life faster, smoother, more efficient. Now people are going to libraries again. Borrowing physical books. Listening to full albums.

Analog is starting to feel like a luxury.

I wrote about why this quiet shift matters more than we think.

Writing Tip:
As an exercise, create a tournament bracket. Use characters from your story to fill the slots. The actual contest is whatever you think will fit (fighting, chess etc.) but the important thing is to compare the characters and wargame out what will happen.

Writing Tip:
While music can be an awesome writing tool, there are rare occasions when it might be better to write in silence. Perhaps the scene is too complex and your music tracks are distracting. Consider trying it for a bit to see if it changes anything.
