Hey, I’m Hannah, I’m 28 from Ohio, USA & I love reading. I’m a big fan of historical fiction, fantasy, and non-fiction… but I typically read a bit of everything. Here you’ll find my own thoughts on books I’ve read, as well as the random cat. FDT.

Hey y’all! So last year my reading goal was 50 books & I didn’t get anywhere near that amount, only ended up doing 17 for the year, I had a lot going on personally & just couldn’t find the time to read. This year though, I made my goal 30 thinking it would be more attainable for me & last night

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 85th day out of the last 97.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

I don’t think I’ve ever loved anything as much as ICE loves violently attacking women.
I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)

Just finished up The Family by Jeff Sharlet & I think EVERYONE in America needs to read it. The Christian nationalist movement that is taking over right now has been gunning for this for SO long and learning about its origins and the people in power within the movement is indescribably important.

Currently reading The Family by Jeff Sharlet, only about 1/5 of the way through but I believe this should be required reading for EVERYONE. The powers taking over our country currently and doing their damndest to destroy our democracy have been working for so long, this is a fantastic review of the

Finished up Dracula by Bram Stoker today, wow what a read! Can’t believe I just now completed for the first time! Vampire books are so gooood! Definitely a classic. I give this one a 5/5⭐️ Have been moving through books much slower since I started school at the beginning of the month but working my

Finished up ’Salem’s Lot today… wow. What a terrifying read! I absolutely loved it! Stephen King is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, I’ve really been enjoying his work. I have a hold on Libby to read Carrie but wait time is listed at 5 weeks so in the meantime I’m starting Dracula… I

About 3/4 of the way through ‘Salem’s
Lot, I honestly haven’t read any books about vampires other than the twilight series (I know I know) but this is so intriguing. I am loving it & might have to check out more vampire horror upon finishing this one, send me your recommendations please!!

RFK Jr. should’ve never been confirmed, & he’s proven that every day since. Children are literally dying from measles because of his lies & reckless anti-vax agenda. He is a threat to our health & our democracy. Public office has no place for deadly, deranged delusion. It’s time for him to resign.

About 25% of the way into ‘salem’s Lot by Stephen King. I’m enjoying it so far, it’s interesting having recently read his latest novel to be going back almost to the beginning of his catalogue now, still similar themes so far but the writing itself is much different.

Finished Doctor Sleep (sequel to The Shining) by Stephen King today! As with every other King novel I’ve read so far, I LOVED it! I think it was a great follow up, wrapped up loose ends & I got to find out where Danny ended up so I love that. I think the next King novel I’m shooting for is Salem’s

I’m a little over a third of the way through Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, loving it so far. Doesn’t seem as gory at least at this point as some of the other King novels I’ve read but I don’t mind that. Can’t wait to get through it & find out how it ends!!

Finished up Holly by Stephen King at the beginning of the weekend, my sister and her love got married this weekend so I’ve been too busy to post a review until now! I really enjoyed this book, didn’t realize until I finished it that it’s part of a series, at some point I’m going to go back & read

Finished up Wives Like Us by Plum Sykes this morning. I enjoyed it well enough but it took me a while to get through, not much happened until about 80% of the way through & even then it was not anything super huge. Basically the whole thing felt like a look into the troubles of the wealthy elite in
