We must protect WIC.
We must protect Head Start.
We must protect the programs that protect us.

Twenty years ago, I walked into this WIC office as a 20-year-old new mom—working multiple jobs and still struggling to feed my baby. I couldn’t afford formula or a breast pump. WIC helped me survive.

Tamir Rice should still be here. At just 12 years old, he was playing in a park when police ended his life.

Police violence is gun violence. Black men are 2.5x more likely to be killed by police than white men.

The House passed H.R. 9495, the “nonprofit killer,” giving the Treasury unchecked power to revoke tax-exempt status without evidence or oversight.

Nonprofits fighting for justice, equity, and human rights are at risk. The Senate hasn’t voted yet—your voice can stop this.

We need your voice NOW. The House is considering H.R. 9495, a dangerous bill that grants the federal government unchecked power to strip nonprofits of their tax-exempt status by labeling them as “terrorist-supporting organizations.”

Sunday morning is medicine to my soul.

It’s the sound of gospel music filling the air, lifting burdens I didn’t know I was carrying. It’s the warmth of community—gathering, praying, and standing together in faith.

Sunday prepares me for the week ahead, a reminder of grace, strength, and purpose.

Advocacy is the power to disrupt harm, confront privilege, and challenge oppression. It’s about using your voice, your influence, and your actions to create equity where there’s none.
