In this paper I discuss many things I care about: why treating people as agents matters, why avoiding #epistemicinjustice is not about credulity but engagement, and why engagement makes for better clinical interactions #philsky

I've been thinking about the philosophical questions that arise during a first episode of psychosis. Not questions about psychosis, but the secondary questions that result from it. I thought about truth & the mind/body question. I'm curious what others may have thought about?

Autistic time isn’t neurotypical time.

The way we process, experience, and move through time often doesn’t fit society’s rigid structures.

Some of us experience time as nonlinear - events from years ago feel immediate, while the near future is impossible to conceptualize.

It's Time to Talk day next Thursday 6th Feb. I've never fully understood how to best utilise that day.
There's potentially a lot of things to talk about. I just always worry that something that is said might have an unintended negative impact on someone else.

Has anyone watched any David Lynch films this week?
I've got an old DVD of the Straight Story, I think I'll watch it tonight.
200+ miles on a John Deere lawnmower makes so much more sense to me than anything else at the moment.

Conscious mind: mmh, chicken, egg fried rice & stir-fry veg.

Unconscious mind: BlackHorn burgers is open 'til 9pm & you've not eaten there once. Where's your conscience? You're killing them.
Thanks yeah, I'll have a grill burger, a hot dog, a bacon double cheese, loaded fries & onion rings... what?
