For Everything is Political, I reported on young people working multiple jobs. It's about more than side hustles—factors like worker exploitation & lack of opportunities to break in have impacted multiple generations. Now, some young adults say working only one job has never felt viable.
The Toll Working Multiple Jobs Takes on Young People
“Rat race,” “chaos,” “stressful”: these are just a few ways young people are describing days stuffed with side projects, shift schedules, and Google Calendars color-coded by job. Illustration Credit: ...

It’s Kent Nishimura. He’s one of the best photojournalists of this era. Please use his name.
A Reuters photographer captured this image of a page from Pam Bondi's "burn book," which she used to counter any questions from Democratic lawmakers during an unhinged hearing today.

It looks like the DOJ monitored members of Congress’s searches of the unredacted Epstein files.

Just wow.

Trump's DOJ seeks examples of 'egregious' judges for Congress to review
President Donald Trump's administration ramped up its pressure on the U.S. judiciary on Tuesday, with the Justice Department saying it has asked federal prosecutors to supply it with the "most egregious examples" of judges impeding his agenda so Congress could take action against them.

A Border Patrol agent shot her five times—then bragged about it to his buddies.

Today, a federal court ruled those texts must be released.

The government dropped its case against Marimar Martinez but her lawyers say it has refused to correct the record after calling her a “domestic terrorist.”

Hey, literally everyone in the lefty media... you do not have to give it to rightwing shitheads like Tillis or MTG who occasionally say something critical of Trump but agree with him on literally every other policy.

Tillis is a POS who ran on scaring people over voter suppression. Fuck him.
REPUBLICAN SEN. THOM TILLIS: “Senator Lindsey Graham mentioned a $10 billion lawsuit from the president. Really? Where’s that money come from, the money fairies or your pocket?”

The corruption is endless.

We’re in court challenging ICE’s denial of access to legal counsel to people held at the detention center cruelly dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz."

Why is Douglas Collins choosing 60-day VA mental health waits? Unacceptable.

He's starving @deptvetaffairs.bsky.social to privatize it, but we won't let them break the VA.

Stop the sabotage!

Here it is. For the third time.

I'm calling on DHS and DOJ's IGs to heed the public outcry and finally launch a joint task force to investigate the horrific pattern of brutality from Trump's agents, including the public execution of Alex Pretti.

We demand accountability. Now.

Clearly, the Trump Administration cannot be trusted to investigate their own agents' pattern of brutality that has led to them murdering two Americans.

I’m leading the effort to force independent investigations into this lawlessness.

Americans deserve the truth. No more lies.

Our independent watchdogs are failing the American people.

ICE has attacked citizens, cops and kids in Chicago.

They are killing people in Minneapolis.

Then turn around and lie to our faces.

If this pattern of abuse doesn't warrant a joint investigative task force, what does??

“Please get the truth out about our son.”

Alex Pretti, a VA ICU nurse, was killed by ICE while trying to protect a woman being assaulted.

Trump calls him a “monster” and “domestic terrorist.”

Trust your own eyes. Unlike Trump, the video doesn’t lie.

More than 1,000 troops from NATO allies died alongside American servicemembers in Afghanistan.

The only time Article V has ever been invoked was after 9/11, and NATO came to our aid without hesitation.

To minimize the sacrifice of our allies' fallen heroes is disgusting.

Nuclear defense is why we built a base on Greenland in 1951. We had this idea 75 years ago. The base has been there since then. You don’t have to invade a country where you already have everything. Invasion just destroys what you have and much else besides.
