The only reason I'm still on this website is so I froth at the mouth about the Seattle mayoral election but I think once that's done and dusted, I might dip! The bsky devs really ruined their own masterpiece! Sad!

Every! Vote! Counts!

CHECK YOUR BALLOT, BE COUNTED!
🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Katie Wilson now leads incumbent Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell in today's ballot drop by 91 votes.

She has closed a Harrell lead that was as large as 8 points in early results.

This is the election equivalent of a 15-inning ALCS game jfc
Per King County elections, expect around 30,000 ballots in Seattle's drop today. Seems likely this thing is headed to next week.

We may very well still be counting during the weekend. If you'd like something to take your mind off of it for a few days, I recommend joining us at @geekgirlcon.bsky.social! We'll have lightsaber fights, regency dances, a DIY science zone, and horny book panels!
I want Katie Wilson to win as quickly and expeditiously as possible, but I also want Bruce Harrell to lose as slowly and painfully as possible

One of the most MADDENING things I ran into during my own run was establishment Dems unwilling to even consider hearing me out because "What if you lose and the person I didn't endorse doesn't want to work with me now?"

Babes they're ALREADY not working with you!
Three: I hold @jayapal.house.gov @cmtmosqueda.bsky.social and @kccclaudia.bsky.social responsible for the thin margins (and a loss if it happens). All of them endorsed Harrell before Katie entered the race: fine. But by not changing to SOLE endorsements of Katie, they allowed Harrell to...

We got this. She had 46% on primary night and ended up 10+ on Harrell
If Wilson is within 5 points of 50 tonight it's over. She could even build on her primary lead. I think ppl are sick of Bruce's shit: "Now is not the time for hope" smdh. Oh and I saw a green haired person walking away from the ballot drop today so that's good luck
November 5, 2025 at 4:20 AM
we do this every time lmao
Less than 20% of registered voters across WA had returned their ballots as of 5 p.m. Monday. That puts the state on track for record low turnout. Data shows returns lagging even in places with high-profile contests for offices like county executive and mayor. Voters can return ballots until 8 p.m.

Reminder that Bruce had to get friggin' *Pete Buttigieg* to endorse him because no one who matters in this city actually likes him.

Typical Bruce L!!!

Also this is my time to be a scold: Y'all could have turned those ballots in DAYS ago. C'mon now!
November 5, 2025 at 4:50 AM
Remember that this isn't just about Katie (and she still has time to pull ahead and win!). Girmay Zahilay is ahead in his race and Dionne Foster is killing it!

Notably, this is about where Wilson was on the first night of the primary, and she wound up winning with 52% of the vote.

Stay tuned!

Family can be complicated and I prefer to let people keep their business to themselves, but Harrell has made Katie Wilson's (positive, actually) parental relationship a major point of attack, and all the while he has a fourth kid he never talks to.
TIL Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell couldn't keep his story straight on how many kids he had when he first ran for Seattle City Council. He would tell reporters he had two. Listed three on his website. But actually has a fourth kid in Tacoma he basically completely estranged.
