Ever have that instance of not being able to find something and having to clean a bunch only to find that item in plain sight and having a thought of, “well I guess I did all that cleaning for nothing?”

I got a box of random crap from Amazon as part of a brushing scam (fake reviews) and at first it’s neat because “free stuff” but then I am reminded why these products need fake reviews and now I just have a box of stuff I need to get rid of.

Articles about slang are usually kind of funny just due to the fact that by the time they get written they tend to be out of date.

I'm so used to being able to ask my kids to do things for me, like grabbing something from the fridge or turning off/on a light, that sometimes I try and do the same thing with my dog.

We‘ve got a blackout going in my area and it’s wild that I can still post updates and use battery power and mostly the inconvenience comes from how I charge my devices and that I can’t use light switches (and other big appliances).
Just seems wild thinking back on blackouts when I was a kid.

I had a due date for something come up in my calendar and now I can't find where this things needs to be turned in and I'm wondering if past me set up an arbitrary due date to get me to finish this thing early and I just completely forgot about it. Win?
