I am not even sure what counts as a first sentence here 😂

Anyway, if you'd like a novelette formatted as a series of Goodreads reviews this one is for you! in @uncannymagazine.bsky.social

Day 4(?) of uncomfortable tummy issues. Not sure if Brighton's directly to blame or if something else disagreed with me this week. Either way, I am a bag of owies.

If you ignore the obvious differences in 70s/90s fashion, me and my mum are indistinguishable from each other in childhood photos. I also have the same mole on my chin as her and her mum. Three generations of witchy chins!
Do you look more like your mom or your dad? Or a grandparent? Or another relative?

Authors who insist they don't write fantasy and only use fantastical elements to address real things—what do they think the rest of us are doing? That's basically every SFF book??

One of my favourite recent reads! 🍒
Read the sublime Sour Cherry by @nassos.bsky.social - everything I love in a book - lush, interweaving stories where the deeply intimate is told through the universal medium of the fairy tale. A successor to writers like Angela Carter and Tanith Lee.

(Also gives me hope that Muse will sell)
