I quit X and came here to get back to following Habs posts and away from the MAGA, PP, racist, fascist nonsense. If I see political posts and reposts from your account, I may unfollow you. Nothing personal, just no interest in going back down that rabbit hole.
@mccagg.bsky.social With regard to Dobes, if being in the backup roll while trying to help the starter, which is what this has been, has shaken him to the point he can't embrace this opportunity, then perhaps he isn't capable of being a #1 either.

Fans can blame Monty again all they want, but the Habs were dominated much of the game and have one goal. I suppose we could have hoped for a 1-0 win?

Got tired of reading the news and getting mad. Feeding America backs 200+ food banks around the country and I've seeded with $500 for now. I'll match up to another $500 myself.

Pass the hat, RTs graciously appreciated, etc.

Trump is diverting money from federal programs like SNAP to fund building of detention centers run by his family and his cronies. This how they’re stealing money. Trump, never a billionaire is now one, so is Melania, his sons and daughters. Still no comprehensive immigration reform as promised.

There are some who want the Canadiens to make a move now and push to be competitive early to take full advantage of their "window." I understand that perspective - but I disagree with it. The Habs have so much young talent still to come that if they aren't Cup contenders until Suzuki is 28...

Someone in the NHL needs to explain to me how there can be a penalty for goaltender interference when no goal is scored (like on Dach against New Jersey tonight) and how it's not a penalty when a goal is scored and then disallowed due to "goaltender interference."

Watching a YouTube video of Shea Weber's shot and how defensemen literally moved out of the way when he wound up... Arber Xhekaj can shoot a puck like that. Perhaps that's something the coaching staff needs to look at exploiting.

@mndamico.bsky.social I also watched for the moment Demidov could take contact and continue making the offensive play he had started. It was a matter of a few games and he was doing it. Jagr vibes (although Jagr was a far larger player, he had that same ability).

This is how we need to do it. Governments start moving to solar/wind and feeding it to the grid. You want to add solar to your home, bonus. But if governments make the switch the costs for solar will come down even more.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

I'm willing to bet Tylenol doesn't cause it either.

I feel my recent posts might lead people to believe I'm a Montembault fan. I actually have always looked at Monty as a placeholder. Dobes and Fowler may both surpass him in the next few years. My defense of Monty was simply because much of the criticism he's received has been undeserved. If you...

So Bill Ackman was bluffing when he said he'd leave New York if Mamdani won the election for mayor. I suppose that means Alan Dershwitz won't keep his promise either.

Sitting here watching @thesickpodcasts.bsky.social and it feels like the Habs won tonight. Maybe it was that thrilling comeback and still earning a point, but I'm not disappointed in this at all.

Despite the final result in the game, I think it's safe to say moving Gallagher to the Dach line seems to have been a good decision.

Watching HabsCast with @mccagg.bsky.social and @rickspringhetti.bsky.social and a viewer said Struble/Cousins was a mismatch. My response is it should be a mismatch. You don't send a message making a guy fight someone he might be able to take. He needs to know a beat down is coming for the slash.

Here's a question... Does Marty go with Monty again on Tuesday against the Flyers or come back with Dobes? I see arguments for both, but it will be interesting to see what Marty decides.

I don't watch baseball so catching the last bit of the World Series I have to look two or three times to see which team is the Jays and which the Dodgers. They couldn't find uniforms that looked any more similar? Have to remember - Jays in white tonight.

Monty doesn't let in a stinker tonight (although he had some bad luck on one) - and he gets the win. Has to be a confidence builder. He looked better in net tonight. Wasn't overplaying his angles, glove/blocker/stick all in good position. Hopefully he's figured it out.
