It was a really hard decision for Team Canada not to take Sam Bennett. For a while, the debate was taking Horvat or Suzuki. When Team Canada decided to take both, that meant leaving off another 4 Nations forward. That fell on Bennett. It was an agonizing decision for Team Canada.

They replace 4 Nations forwards Sam Bennett, Travis Konecky and Seth Jarvis (plus extra Olympic roster spot).
Same 8 D from 4 Nations selected for Olympic roster.

It’s all about how old you were at the time, but my favourite world junior hockey memory was John Slaney GWG vs Russia in 1991. I was 19 and watching with pals, the beers were flowing, and just remember how the bar exploded when Slaney scored.
